He's the nicest guy I ever met in the music industry. I wasn't the biggest fan of his music but after that show I changed my mind about him.

Not very related to the topic but here it goes.I was lucky enough to win a contest to play in a big festival in Portugal and I got to play with Garmiani, Brooks, Corey James, Steven Angello and Alan Walker. I find it a bit ironic that you go on to say that "the second part is a good articulation" and that you agree with it, but I wrote the second part as an explanation of the first part.ĪW would be Odesza if he wrote complex structures, but he does not, and instead keeps it to 4/4, major keys, consonance high, and dissonance low. People who listen to more music will like Odesza, and people who listen to less will like AW. I have said essentially what you said, Odesza writes more complex music, and they're dedicated to that craft so they perform better. I do think you're upgrading to Deadmau5, and downgrading to Marshie tho. Also, I do kinda like that Deadmau5/Marshmello comparison in this case, as they both wear headgear lmao. Haha hey man I didn't mean to upset anyone with the comparison, but both artists are Pop/Dance/Electronic artists by their own description, and the only reason that you find the comparison "outrageous" is because you like Odesza and dislike AW. this doesn't always come across in his work, but I love that that's his message for his audience and I support that. it's really simple, but I think it's super important. I wasn't really exposed to this until I saw him live, but when I did, he was very passionate about making sure people knew that they aren't alone, and that they are loved. His older stuff (faded, Spectre, etc), blends together for me though, I def get that. Haven't listened regularly in a little bit (I go through rotating genre phases), but Lily, Lonely, Darkside, and All Falls Down are all great, and I don't remember not liking anything on this album. It has some great songs, melodies, and sounds all around. His Different World Album definitely is where it's at, as other commenters have said.I can't explain much more than that, but the sounds he chooses/creates are very pleasing to me. just my two cents, for what it's worth i still like a lot of alan walker musicīig AW Fan from the US here.

it's just been a snowball effect on his popularity with mainstream listenersĪlso worth mentioning that he seems to market himself more toward asia than europe/americas compared to other producers.

he (his team) continues to make songs in the same mainstream appealing sound that "faded" had and also eventually goes on to make more pop / less edm type songs re: different world, on my way, coming home.i'm sure he has input on his music, but it is generally accepted that he is mostly ghost produced sony catches on to his popularity and he becomes a brand more so than a producer.it surpasses the original and breaks into the mainstream. couple years later he releases "faded", which is his most popular song with pop lyrics added, so that blows up because it is a winning formula.he released "fade" with nocopyrightsounds awhile back, which became immensely popular not only because people liked it but because it was able to be used in youtube videos and spread that way.
